Strictly speaking, this is a single work (an illuminated manuscript) in 15 parts (or pages). The text in this work comes from an electronic design paper presented at a scientific conference a few years back.; this article is copied by hand and illuminated in the tradition of medieval illuminated manuscripts. The paintings in the Trigonopoetry (Trigonometric Poetry) series start as pages from old trigonometry textbooks pasted on wood panels. Some words are masked out to create new sentences, and the panel is painted. It’s surprising how many nuggets of wisdom about art, morality and life reside in these old textbooks.
